The First Craft!!-Animal bookmarks

This is what you'll need:

Sharp scissors (adult may be needed), sharpie, embroidery thread, embroidery needle, glue (this glue didn't work very well, we recommend hot glue and fabric glue + a parent) and any color felt (depending on what animal you're making).

1:Collect the supplies needed.
2:Take your felt and use a pencil (not listed) or sharpie to draw how wide and tall you want your bookmark to be.

3:Cut it out.
4:Thread your needle and sew the all the way around the two pieces.  Add any additional animal parts in between the felt pieces and just leave some sticking out (for example, ears, tail, fins, etc).  At the end you can tie off your thread and leave some hanging for a loop if you like, or cut it short if not.
5:To make faces you can use small pieces of felt, stitch a face, or draw one on with sharpie or fabric marker depending upon what you are comfortable with.

Here are a few samples that I made:

I hope you enjoy making this as much as I did.  If you have any questions, please leave me a comment and I'll try to help.  Enjoy nature and GO ECO FRIENDS!!!!
